Vehicle Test Track

Contract Period: 4 weeks
The contract consisted of the construction of several different road surfaces to test transit vans at the Ford Southampton plant. The surfaces included granite cobble stones laid in differing styles, Concrete surfaces with varying finishes used to test suspension and check for vehicle noises. A large percentage of construction work had to be completed during the plants 3 week summer shutdown. The contact was a success and the features constructed were copied in other plants worldwide.
