Harlow Group Extension
Client: Harlow Group
Contract Period: 16 weeks
Value: £450,000
Wilson Construction project managed this project. The contract consisted of two main operations. The first part of the contract was the construction of a steel framed extension to an existing sheet metal cutting factory. The 500m2 extension was constructed on a piled beam foundation, new drainage systems were installed and a new concrete hard standing and access road (1000m2+) was constructed. The steel frame was clad with a kingspan composite panel system with matching roof and roof lights. The second part of the contract was to re-clad the adjoining building and large adjacent factory, in total over 5000m2 of new cladding installed. In addition new windows and doors were installed.
The difference the cladding and extension made to the appearance of both buildings was amazing, the space created by the extension and hard standings has enabled the ‘Harlow Group’ to expand their business without the hassle and upheaval of moving to new premises.
